This Privacy Statement describes how we handle information we learn about users of our Computer Adaptive Assessment Project web site.
Castle Rock Research Corporation collects identifying information about you only when you provide it to us - we do not collect information about you without your knowledge and cooperation.
Personally identifying information collected will be used to provide you with the best possible service. It will enable us to deliver our tests and record results in an expedient and efficient manner, and to provide you with the best possible service and support.
Managing and protecting the confidentiality of personal information is an essential objective in the design and development of the company’s online products and services which include THE E-KEY, INTEGRITY, and the Castle Rock Research Item Bank. Castle Rock Research has designed its security subsystems (authentication, access control, data integrity, information flow, and auditing) in accordance with generally accepted security strategies such as defense in depth, least privilege, and fail-safe stance. These subsystems establish and constrain the environment in which application objectives are subsequently realized. This approach is one that Castle Rock Research is committed to following in the delivery of all its online solutions, including the Alberta CAA system.
Any personal information about you that is stored digitally in one of our databases is secure and accessed only by authorized persons within our organization, your teacher and designated education administrators. In addition to what has already been stated, we may use information in our data bases to produce general reports that do not contain identifying information. These reports help us to understand in a general way the level and effectiveness of test items.
WE DO NOT SELL, LEASE, GIVE AWAY, TRADE OR VOLUNTARILY RELEASE PERSONALLY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION TO ANY PERSON, ORGANIZATION OR AGENCY OUTSIDE OF OUR COMPANY, TEACHERS, AND AUTHORIZED EDUCATION ADMINISTRATORS UNLESS WE ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THE SAID INFORMATION BY LAW.
